Ford has sold its one millionth Ford Focus car in the UK . The new owner will be presented with his purchase by the Chairman of Ford UK Roelant de Waard. The presentation will be at the British International Motor Show.
The particular Focus car to be presented is the eco-friendly flexi-fuel version which can use petrol or bioethanol.
De Waard said, "Ford has developed a real winner with the Focus. Top of the bestsellers list for eight years proves its amazing popularity with British motorists. The Ford Focus was first with a flexible fuel vehicle in its range. I'm delighted we have found another Ford Focus FFV customer who will be joining us on Motor Show press day."
The motor show will have a feature on how the FFV came to being. Visitors will also be able to see the new Focus Coupe-Cabriolet for the first time in the UK as well as other Ford models.
To celebrate the sale of the millionth focus Ford has release the following information:
Focus purchasers in the UK prefer their cars to be blue (33%) or silver (31%). Sales of red Focuss are 5% most of which are bought be Ford employees. Leicester like their Focus to be in grey but Leicester also likes blue cars as does Hounslow and Uxbridge.
Buyers prefer their the five door hatchback body style (32%), whereas the three door hatchback accounts for 20% of sales, estates account for 14.5% of sales and four door saloons account for 6% for sales.
