The Sexy Green Car Show is a motor show with a difference. Hailed as the worlds first eco-car exhibition, it is designed to display and show the latest in electic, diesel, bio-fuel, and hybrid technologies.
This years show will, fittingly, be taking place at The Eden Project in Cornwall, home to one of the most stunning locations in the UK .
The Eden Project is home to the Mediterranean Biome, and the Rainforest Biome the two biggest greenhouses in the world. Around £700 million has been generated through the 1.2 million visitors that visit Eden each year, helping the local economy immensley.
The Sexy Green Car Show (SXCS) will be based on eco-friendly concepts and designs, trying to convince people that the products on show will have some relevance to how they live their lives.
Major car brands expected to be present include Vauxhall, Ford, Volkswagen, and Smart, each with their display of cars and products .
One of the companies most looking forward to the event are Saab . The car manufacturers aim to use the show as an opportunity to demonstrate its innovative BioPower flex-fuel engines, which are now available within all Saab models, making them the only volume car company in Britain able to provide this.
Saab will also be showcasing the Saab 9-3 Convertible BioPower, and a Saab 9-5 Estate BioPower car . The BioPower cars are flex-fuel, meaning that they can run on the eco-friendly yet potent fuel source bioethanol E85, standard unleaded petrol, or any mix of the fuels.
Citroen will have a selection of their C1, C2 and C3s on display, while Vauxhall will be displaying their 1.3 CDTi turbo diesel engine, which was used in the new Tigra and Corsa .
