Britain's allocation of BMW M3s has been completely sold out.
A total of 700 of the jaw-dropping sports cars were reserved for UK buyers for 2007, with each car ordered coming at an average price of £55,325 - including £4700-worth of extras.
Out of all the extra options that are on offer, it is the 19-inch alloy wheels which are the most-wanted by car buyers, followed by the DAB digital radio .
Sales figures for 2008 are expected to reach around 2000 cars - an increase on the demand for the last M3 which peaked at 1800 cars per year. Sales of the sports car should further increase once the new convertible model of the M3 is unleashed on the market next year.
BMW aims to maintain its class-leading position with the new, fourth generation, M3 Coupe .
It is the most powerful production M3 ever produced, and its award-winning formula of unsurpassed driving dynamics and intelligent engineering combined with day-to-day practicality and understated performance is expected to once again leave rival models trailing in its wake.
The new E92 BMW M3 goes on sale in the UK on 8 September, 2007, with prices starting from £50,625.
