Subaru has announced that its new Impreza WRX or STI models will both be limited edition cars in the UK .
The much anticipated 227bhp 2.5-litre Impreza WRX will go on sale in the UK in November, but motorists will have to act fast as there will only be between 350 and 400 models available to begin with.
No prices have been released for the models, although Subaru has confirmed it will limit sales to 1000 cars per year from 2008.
Details of the new Subaru WRX STI are being kept in the dark ahead of its spring 2008 launch, while only 1500 models will be made available each year.
Inside sources have also confirmed that an all-new Subaru Legacy will be launched at the tail end of 2009, with the revamped car set to be considerably bigger than the current car - sparking speculation that there could be plans for an Impreza Sports Wagon to fill the Subaru range.
