Nissan has added a new kit to its range of Note models and has also revealed some of the latest technology in safety equipment will make its way into future cars .
The Note Acenta R, the latest supermini-MPV from the Japanese car giant, comes in either red or black metallic finishes and includes standard 16-inch alloys and rear privacy glass.
In addition, the car will feature Bluetooth phone connectivity, electric windows, air-con and a chilled glove box.
Nissan has also announced that a new range of safety equipment will be fitted into the next line of models .
The new technology includes a system that monitors the drivers face to determine whether they are too tired to continue their journey . A camera is used to look into the eyes of the driver and determine whether they are drowsy if so, an alarm is sounded and the seatbelt tightened.
The new set-up works in conjunction with an advanced new lane departure warning system . Although rival models, such as the Citroen C5, have developed similar set-ups with cameras mounted in the back of the rear view mirror, the device from Nissan stays one step ahead as cameras are placed under the car - triggering a warning if the vehicle begins to swerve across the road.
The upgraded Note Acenta Rs are now available for order for 1 September delivery, with prices ranging from £11,840 for the 1.4-litre petrol engine to £13,540 for the 1.6 automatic.
