Auto Trader, the UKs largest and most popular car advertisers, and EurotaxGlasss, a leading automotive business intelligence company, have joined forces to launch a new stock profile service for car dealers .
The new service, named Stock Profile Intelligence, enables retailers to discover how competitively priced their used car stock is within their local area. The companies have described it as the most comprehensive stock profiling service available on the market .
Stock Profile Intelligence, or SPI, also reports on interest from prospective used car buyers who are searching for vehicles advertised online .
The whole of the UK car market is covered by the SPI database, which evaluates data relating to 250,000 used cars offered for sale through Auto Trader every day. Individual weekly reports, tailored to the location and stock mix of each and every dealer, are then produced by the company .
Business development manager at EurotaxGlass's, Alan Henson said, "This is the most comprehensive stock profiling service of its kind to be launched in the UK ."
"Dealers will be able to optimise stock turnover while responding to changing patterns of demand within their local market ."
Craig Stevens, Auto Traders director of new media, added, "SPI provides dealers with data that hasn't been available before, from two of the largest specialists in the motoring data market ."
