The first Jaguar XF has rolled off the production line in the West Midlands .
The new model, designed to replace the popular S Type, has been designed in the UK and is being produced in Castle Bromwich near Birmingham .
The sleek XF is available in two editions the basic 3.0 litre model, which starts at £32,925, and the more powerful 4.2 litre SV8, which costs £53,925.
The production of the model in the Midlands region is aimed at safeguarding hundreds of jobs at Jaguar, following Fords decision as parent company to dispose of the luxury brand, forcing the carmaker to be put up for sale .
Ford is expected to announce a decision on the future of Jaguar and Land Rover, which is also up for sale, in early 2008.
