Mazda have announced prices for the new Mazda 6 will start from £15,100 when it arrives in UK showrooms next month.
The new pricing strategy is great news for Mazda enthusiasts as it means the new model will cost just under £1000 more than the current model's starting price.
UK car buyers will be able to choose from 10 saloon and hatchback petrol-powered models in December, with a further six diesel models being introduced in January and a further nine estate models joining the Mazda 6 range in March.
The car boasts an impressive range of safety features, including traction control, emergency brake assist, stability control, driver and passenger front airbags, front side airbags, daytime running lights, active head restraints and a Thatcham Category One alarm .
Buyers will also have a choice of five different trims to choose from - S, TS, TS2, Sport and SL:
. S - The S edition costs from £15,100 and includes 16-inch alloy wheels, body-coloured bumpers and mirrors, air-conditioning, all-round electric windows and a CD player.
. TS - Costs from £16,100 and comes with an alternative interior trim, steering wheel-mounted controls, climate control, cruise control, an upgraded sound system and a leather steering wheel .
. TS2 - Prices start from £17,830; comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, electric folding door mirrors, dusk-sensing lights, rain-sensing wipers, a six-disc CD changer and front fog-lights .
. Sport - The Sport edition of the Mazda 6 starts at £19,630 and comes with a rear spoiler, side skirts, privacy glass and alloy pedals, as well as 18-inch alloy wheels, a keyless entry system, heated sports seats and a BOSE stereo .
. SL - The top-of-the-range model costs from £20,680. Extras include front and rear parking sensors, powered front seats, leather trim to Sport trim and an electric sunroof.
