Prestige carmaker Jaguar has unveiled the first pictures of its next generation X-Type model .
The new edition X-Type, which goes on sale in March next year, has been totally revamped and features several new additions, including nearly 500 new components.
The X-Type model range will, for the first time, offer an automatic diesel version, which the company hopes will attract new customers to the brand .
CJ O'Donnell, global marketing director for Jaguar Cars said: "The package of revisions, particularly the automatic transmission in the 2.2 diesel, presents our established dealers and the key emerging markets with an excellent opportunity to reach new customers and retain existing owners."
Jaguar has stated that the new X-Type will go on sale at £21,500 for the 2.0 litre diesel-saloon entry model, rising to £23,900 for the 2.2-litre estate automatic version.
