Luxury carmaker Rolls Royce has confirmed that its two-door concept model - the 101EX - will enter production as of next year.

The new prestige coupe will be built at the brand’s Goodwood plant and is set to complete the line-up of award winning Phantom vehicles .

Prices for the 101EX Concept are expected to be between the Phantom and Phantom Drophead Coupe, which retail at £224,000 and £260,000 respectively.

Rolls-Royce chairman and chief executive, Ian Robertson, said the new model would play an important role for the company .

"This new model represents a milestone in the company’s history," he said.

"It completes the Phantom family and judging by the customer reaction to 101EX, we are confident of its success .

Robertson added: "Our challenge lies in meeting the exceptional levels of customer demand for the Phantom range and in preparing Goodwood to meet the needs of future new cars ."
