Prestige carmaker Aston Martin has been named Britains coolest brand for the second year running in a survey carried out by CoolBrands.
Buoyed by the success of the recent Casino Royale James Bond film, the luxury carmaker beat off a host of stiff competition in the survey, including the Apple iPod in second place, followed by You Tube in third.
Bang and Olufsen and Google completed the list of the top five coolest brands of 2007.
Car giant Ferrari featured just outside the top ten in 11th place, while fellow Italian carmaker Lamborghini was placed 17th.
Stephen Cheliotis, chairman of the CoolBrands Council for 2008, commented: "The top twenty cool brands are a reflection of our changing needs, wants and interests."
"On the one hand, things can become cool by virtue of their necessity or prevalence in your life. On the other, the things you really want but may know youll never get."
Dr Ulrich Bez, Aston Martins chief executive, added: "To be voted the UKs coolest brand for the second year running proves that the growth of our brand is consistent and ongoing."
