Citroen's Eco Friendly C2 Launched

Citroen has launched its economical diesel hot hatch in the UK for under £11,000.

The 110hp C2 1.6HDi VTS returns over 64mpg on the combined cycle and emits 199g/km of carbon dioxide, according to Citroen .

The latest hot hatch from the French carmaker boasts torque of 192lb-ft at 2000rpm, reaches 62mph in 9.4 seconds and has a top speed of 120mph.

The VTS features typical Citroen hot hatch styling, with VTS badging and 16" Cheetah alloy wheels, while air conditioning, ESP, four airbags, an alarm and ABS with EBD all included as standard.

The model will cost car buyers £13,400, although an introductory price offer of £10,995 is available till the end of the month. In addition, buyers aged over 25 will be eligible (for the same limited period only) for a year’s worth of free insurance .
