New Grand Voyager To Be Unveiled At Frankfurt Motor Show

Thu, 06 Sep 2007

Chrysler will unveil their new Grand Voyager at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show, giving car enthusiasts first close-up glimpses of the SUV ahead of its launch into the UK market early next year.

The new Voyager is powered by the 160bhp 2.8-litre diesel engine, also found in the Jeep Wrangler, while both the interior and exterior of the car have been redesigned to include a range of new features such as heated seats in the first and second rows.

The second and third rows of the seven-seater people carrier will be using Chrysler's innovative 'Stow 'n Go' seating system, which allows them to be folded flat within 30 seconds.

Extra options on the SUV include a reverse parking camera, an electrically operated rear tailgate, sliding rear doors, and 'Swivel 'n Go' seating, which enables the second row of seats to be swivelled around 180 degrees.

Chrysler will announce prices for the Grand Voyager nearer the car's launch date .

The Frankfurt Motor Show 2007, taking place next week, will also see the unveiling of the Voyager’s all-new replacement – the Journey by sister brand Dodge . The Journey will take over after the release of the latest Grand Voyager .
