Ford Unveil New Focus ST

Ford has lifted the lid on its refreshed Focus ST and revealed specification details of the much-anticipated model, which is expected to go on sale priced from £18,250.

The latest edition to the award-winning ST range is powered by the same 221bhp 2.5-litre turbocharged engine, which powers the car from 0-62mph in 6.8sec and on to a limited top speed of 150mph.

The car features the revised styling of the rest of the Focus range, which includes new body panels on the entire car except the roof.

The suspension has been tweaked to improve ride and handling, while stability control and traction control are now available as standard.

Standard features of the ST include 18-inch alloy wheels, sports seats, a sports steering wheel, a keyless starter button and a cap-less refuelling system .

Extra features available to buyers include Bluetooth phone connectivity, sat-nav and a tyre deflation warning system .

Ford revealed buyers will have the choice of three and five-door versions of the car along with three different trims: ST, ST-2 and ST-3.

The ST-2 comes with an up-graded audio system, bi-xenon lights, LED rear lights and a heated windscreen, while the ST-3 models feature an in-dash six-CD player and full leather trim.
