Spanish carmaker Seat has unveiled its first images and details of the new Ibiza supermini .
Seat said the up-coming launch of the new model is "the most important in its recent history" and marked the start of a "major product offensive".
Further variants of the much-anticipated car will be introduced over the next few months, including new saloon and estate versions.
The new redesigned Ibiza five-door supermini is longer than its predecessor and also boasts more leg-room than previous versions.
Seat said car buyers will have the choice of three petrol engines from launch, but added that prices for the Ibiza won’t be announced until closer to the launch date.
