Audi has released prices for its new four-wheel drive supercharged S4, due to go on sale in the UK next April.
The Audi S4 will be available in both saloon and estate versions, with the saloon costing £34,225 - more than £1K cheaper than its nearest rival, the BMW 335i M Sport and the S4 Avant (estate) available at a slightly higher price of £35,570.
Extras include a new seven-speed twin-clutch DSG transmission, which will cost buyers an additional £1420 in the saloon and £1230 in the estate.
The car will be powered by a new 3.0 litre V6 engine that produces 329bhp, enabling it to reach 62mph in just 5.1 seconds making it faster than the previous model.
Audi said the new V6 is also cleaner and more efficient than the outgoing 4.2-litre V8, and will return 29.1mpg on the combined cycle.
Last week, Audi announced the A4 Cabriolet will be replaced with a drop-top version of the Audi A5 .
Set to make its UK debut next spring, the Audi A5 Cabriolet features a traditional fabric roof that retracts in 15 seconds and can be raised again in 17 at speeds up to 31 mph.
The new model will launch with a choice of three directly injected engines - the turbo charged 2.0-litre TFSI petrol, the 3.2-litre naturally aspirated V6 FSI petrol and the 3.0-litre V6 TDI.
The model will be available to order from February and priced from just under £30,000.
