Brits love affair with BMW cars shows no sign of slowing down, with new figures from Auto Trader revealing the BMW 3 Series was the most searched for car in 2007.
The hugely popular German saloon was searched for more than any other car last year, with Auto Trader registering 29 million searches for the compact executive model in 2007 nearly equalling the number of registered searches for the Ford Focus and Vauxhall Astra put together.
Car buyers most searched for model in 2006 - the Volkswagen Golf - was the second most popular car this time round.
The supermini was joined by the evergreen Ford Focus, in third place, and Vauxhalls Astra and Corsa models ranked fourth and fifth respectively.
Superminis continued to feature in the Auto Trader list, with the Ford Fiesta listed in sixth place, followed by the Renault Clio in seventh.
