A new study by BCA, the UK and Europes largest vehicle auction company, has revealed exactly what used car buyers require from a dealership when shopping for a second hand car .
The research found that half of all used car buyers listed an exact model match as their number one factor in choosing a particular dealer, while price was named as the second most important issue for drivers, with retailers offering the best deal most likely to attract business .
Location and convenience was rated as the third most important factor in selecting a car retailer, followed by the friendliness and professionalism of staff and car warranties .
Other crucial factors by consumers included ease of negotiation, car choice, car delivery speed and whether the car had been bought before.
Bottom of the list as the least most important aspect among motorists was recommendation by others, with only 1 per cent stating this as a key factor in selecting which business to visit.
