Maserati has released the first details and images of its updated Quattroporte sports car .
The Italian carmaker said the new car will be available in two versions - the Quattroporte and the Quattroporte S - when it goes on sale in the UK later this year.
Both models have undergone significant styling changes to the front grille, front and rear lights and door mirrors, while the interior now features a new centre console, a modified sat-nav system and comes with the choice of two extra shades of leather.
The Quattroporte comes with a 4.2-litre engine, while the S variant is powered by the 430bhp 4.7-litre V8 from the GranTurismo S coupe . Both cars are put through their paces via a 6-speed automatic transmission .
The first batch of Quattroportes are expected to be delivered in the UK this October, and although Maserati is yet to confirm prices for the models, the standard 4.2 is expected to cost from £79,000 and the new Quattroporte S from £85,000.
