Mercedes Benz has released first glimpses and specification details of its revamped B-Class sports tourer.
The car, which first launched three years ago, has received its first facelift, although it is the changes made beneath the bonnet that are of most interest to critics and Mercedes lovers.
The B 150 and B 170 models come equipped with a new Eco stop/start system that switches off the engine when the car is stationary in traffic, while additional developments include an active parking assist function that helps drivers to locate a suitable parking spot and manoeuvre into it.
In terms of its green credentials, Mercedes claims the updated B-Classs fuel efficiency has been increased by 7 per cent while at the same time reducing tailpipe emissions .
The new Mercedes B-Class is set to arrive in the UK this July, although the German carmaker has yet to confirm pricing and specification for the model .
