UK Motorists Vote For Local Car Marques As Dream Drive

New research has revealed that British car marques are firm favourites when it comes to UK motorists’ choice of dream cars .

A survey conducted by online insurance company swiftcover.com found that three-quarters of UK motorists would buy British if they had a budget of at least £100,000 to play with.

Aston Martin was the rated as the most popular brand choice among UK drivers, with 24 per cent saying an Aston would be their ideal purchase.

The second most popular car brand was Range Rover with 19 per cent, followed by prestige manufacturer’s Bentley and Rolls Royce, with 16 per cent 10 per cent respectively.

Other car marques included in the top ten list included German carmakers Porsche and BMW .

The survey also revealed which cars rank as favourites among celebrities, with the BMW X5 found to be a particular preference for footballers, while Hollywood actors were found to have a fondness for supercar models, such as the Bugatti Veyron and the Mercedes SLR.
