Ferrari has announced it is to break industry tradition with the launch of its eagerly anticipated new model, the Grand Tourer sports car .
The latest model to the Ferrari line will be launched online via the manufacturer’s new site - ferrarigtcountdown.com - as part of a teaser campaign ahead of the Paris Motor Show in October.
The recently launched website will slowly reveal the car to enthusiasts over the coming weeks.
To kick things off, motorists will be treated to the roar of the GT’s engine, followed in the next few days by the first photographs of the car. Updates and additions to the site will continue until the start of the Paris Show .
It is the first time that the prestige carmaker has taken the virtual approach to selling its cars .
