The new Renault Laguna coupe has been unveiled, with company bosses confirming it will go on sale this November.
Originally unveiled in concept form at last year's Frankfurt motor show, the production version has lost much of the concepts sharper styling, including the distinctive scissor doors.
The style of the new coupe differs also from the Laguna hatchback, featuring new front wings, bonnet and bumper.
At the rear, the concept cars narrow LED tail lights have made it into production, although the shape of the boot-lid has been altered.
The car is powered by engines from the existing Laguna range, plus new 3.0-litre petrol and 3.5-litre diesel motors which both come with an automatic transmission.
The 232bhp 3.0-litre diesel has 332b ft of pulling power, while the 237bhp 3.5-litre petrol unit offers 243lb ft of torque.
Renault confirmed higher-spec versions equipped with Renaults Active Drive four-wheel-steering system, as used on the Laguna GT, will be available by 2009.
Buyers can expect to pay from £22,000 for entry-level models and up to £27,000 for the range-topping V6 models .
