Rolls Royce has released the first sketches of its latest model, named the RR4.
Due to be launched in 2010, the new car will be included in the companys Phantom range of prestige motors and be powered by a new engine, unique to Rolls Royce .
Rolls Royce said the RR4 design was agreed upon last year and revealed engineering development on the car is now fully underway, with the companys paint, wood and leather shops to be extended in order to accommodate it.
A two-shift system will also be set up at the companys Goodwood factory next year, when the RR4 goes into full production.
Chief designer Ian Cameron explained: 'The RR4 has a more informal presence than the Phantom models, with a greater emphasis on driving ."
"In design terms, this is expressed through its slightly smaller dimensions and more organic form, yet with powerful, purposeful proportions.'
Rolls Royce said further details regarding the RR4 will be announced next year.
