Volkswagen Golf lovers in the UK can now put in orders for the latest edition of the hugely successful GTI hot hatch .
Volkswagen dealerships across the country are now accepting orders for the Mk VI Golf GTI, with prices starting from £22,410 for the three-door manual version and £22,995 for the five-door model.
GTIs equipped with the DSG semi-automatic gearbox come with a £1305 premium on the manual versions.
The Mk VI GTI is powered by a tweaked version of the 2.0-litre turbocharged engine from its predecessor, making it quicker from 0 to 62mph, but also more economical than the Mk V model.
VW has also ensured the new hot hatch emits less CO2 emissions than previous models, making it the most eco-friendly GTI to date.
Standard equipment includes dual-zone climate control, a flat-bottomed GTI steering wheel, red and black tartan seats with GTI logos on the headrests, 17-inch alloy wheels and red brake callipers .
Deliveries of the new Golf GTI will start on May 22.
