Mercedes is offering two years of free servicing as an incentive to motorists who are keen on purchasing an Approved Used Mercedes .
The deal, which is being offered as part of an Approved Used event, is available on any Mercedes model, with the exception of the Mercedes Benz Viano and all AMG models, bought between October 10 and 18.
The free service plan is for two years or 24,000 miles (whichever comes first) and includes all routine maintenance, labour, parts and lubricants.
Buyers will also receive a 12-month, unlimited-mileage warranty, as well as a 30-day, 1000-mile exchange policy.
However, Approved Used Mercedes owners will still have to pay the annual MoT test fee for cars over three years old, which currently stands at £54.
Meanwhile, fellow German carmaker Volkswagen has introduced a new 'Service Promise', which it claims will improve customer care and ensure consistent standards for all.
As part of the new pledge, anyone who has their car serviced or repaired by an official VW outlet will be guaranteed free fitment of wiper blades and most exterior light bulbs, a free wash and vacuum with any job that takes over an hour, a commitment to match rival quotes on like-for-like servicing, and a road test with a qualified VW technician.
