Smart Introduces Special Edition Fortwo gb-10

Smart has released details of a new special edition model that is being launched to commemorate ten years of sales in the UK.

Only 100 models of the Smart fortwo gb-10 will be built. These will consist of 50 petrol coupes, 10 petrol cabrios, 30 diesel coupes and 10 diesel cabrios.

Each will have its own numbered badging and will come in silver metallic with a special red design feature along the side sills and safety cell.The exterior will also feature 15-inch Brabus alloy wheels and LED running lights.

The car’s interior will include heated, Rosso red leather seats and door panels with gb-10 stitching, with leather extending to the door panels, kneepad and handbrake gaitor.

Buyers of the limited-edition gb-10 will also get a black Alcantara dashboard, a Pioneer sat-nav and stereo system, air conditioning, electric windows and a Panoramic roof.

Gary Savage, Managing Director of Mercedes-Benz Cars said: "The gb-10 edition is the perfect way to celebrate a decade of smart in the UK, not only being one of the most distinctive and exclusive fortwo models ever produced but also capturing the essence of what the iconic brand represents."

"More than 75,000 smarts have been sold in the UK and the gb-10 edition is a clear indication of how the brand has evolved and continues to do so."

"Its luxurious specification will attract an even greater variety of customers and once again highlights the car’s reputation for trendsetting, forward-thinking style."

Prices for the SmartForTwo GB10, which is exempt from road tax, will start from £10,695.

The car will be on display at this year's Smart festival on September 4, which is being held at Mercedes-Benz World at Brooklands in Surrey.
