Citroens Revamped C4 Picasso Range To Hit UK Showrooms In October

Citroen has announced it will release its upgraded Picasso range in the UK next month, with prices starting from £16,345.

The French carmaker’s C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Picasso have been given new styling features, enhanced levels of equipment and engine upgrades.

Exterior changes include new chevron design on the front grille and tailgate, a new front bumper, new headlights and rear light clusters. VTR+ models also get a front LED light design, chrome side window sills and a chrome rear bumper strip.

The inside of the cars have been given a number of equipment upgrades, including rear parking sensors and electrically folding mirrors.

Exclusive models will also feature redesigned 17-inch alloy wheels, new upholstery, USB and Bluetooth connectivity and Citroen's new eTouch system, which can automatically call for emergency assistance in the event of an accident, or if the car is immobilised.

The SIM card-based facility can also provide advice to drivers on economical driving techniques and service intervals.

Under the bonnet, the C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Picasso have been equipped with Citroen's new efficient e-HDi engine, which combines Citroen's new stop-start system with various other green technologies, such as brake-energy regeneration, to improve economy and slash emissions by up to 15 per cent on existing models.

Both ranges also now feature a new 2.0HDi 150hp diesel engine linked to a 6-speed manual gearbox . A refined 2.0HDi 160hp with a 6-speed automatic gearbox will also be available for the first time on Exclusive models.
